This Notion template is designed to help you implement the (simple) Zettelkasten method for effective note-taking and knowledge management. It allows you to systematically organize your knowledge and make it easier to retrieve and connect information, enhancing your memorization and understanding of the material.

Create New Notes: Use the Create New Note button in the “Action Buttons” section to add new pieces of information as you learn them.

Ensure each note is focused on a single idea and includes relevant metadata and links to related notes (if exists).

Also, specify the review frequency date by entering the number of days inside the Review Frequency (Days) property. This will ensure the note appears on the review calendar in the “Review Soon” section when the review date arrives, prompting you to review it.
🔗 Link Notes: Whenever you create a new note, link it to related notes (if exists) via the Related Notes property. This helps build a web of interconnected ideas.
📁 Organize Notes:
1. Tags: Use the Add New Tag button to add a new tag (category) and link any relevant notes to it. This will organize your notes by topic.
2. Index: Use the Add New Index button to add a new index note and link any relevant notes to it. This helps you get an overview of specific topics.
View All: Click pages under “Navigate” section to visualize all: Notes (permanent/literature/fleet), Index, Tags, and Keywords.
Review Notes: See the “Review Soon” calendar below to review each note. Press the ✅ Reviewed Today button to automatically update the last reviewed date and the next review date.

Also Note: The Review Status property in each note consists of three stages: “To Review,” “Reviewing,” and “Mastered!” / “Archived” / “No Review Required.” You can manually change these statuses, or pressing the ✅ Reviewed Today button will also automatically change the status to “Reviewing”. Please select “Mastered!” / “Archived” / “No Review Required” when you have completely mastered the note, when you no longer need it, or when your note does not require frequent reviewing.
